Since their establishment in 1986, Justice Support Centre has been a pillar of support for individuals in the community facing legal challenges and domestic violence. Over the years, they have grown into one of New South Wales largest domestic and family violence service providers, dedicated in their mission to ensure equal access to justice and to create a future where women and children live free from domestic and family violence.

Justice Support Centre provides a range of essential services to support their community:
Legal Services: Justice Support Centre’s dedicated legal team provides free or affordable assistance in various areas, including family law, criminal law, and employment law, ensuring that justice is accessible to everyone.
Domestic and Family Violence Services (DFV): They offer essential support to women and children experiencing abuse, including safety planning, court preparation, and securing Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders (ADVOs). Their Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (WDVCAS) is crucial in guiding clients through the court process with empathy and expertise.
Community Education: Justice Support Centre conducts free workshops and training sessions to educate community members and workers on critical legal and safety issues, fostering a more informed and aware community.

This year, Justice Support Centre received the prestigious Australian International Multicultural Association (AIM) business award in the Not for Profit sector. This award acknowledges their significant impact in supporting women and children affected by domestic violence.

Demonstrating their commitment, the team worked tirelessly over a weekend to assist their clients during Operation Amarok, a NSW Police initiative that led to the arrest of over 500 domestic violence perpetrators. This effort underscores their commitment to ensuring the safety and justice of their clients.

The daily work and the challenges faced by caseworkers were also highlighted in an ABC News article, A Day on the Frontline, showcasing the positive impact of their services and presence in the lives of those they support. Read the full article here.
